OSTEN, aside from the significant communication with the international artists (which is most noticeable in the activities for the World Gallery of Drawings and the Museum of Art), is following the activity of the Macedonian artists very closely in order to secure a place for presentation, mutual competition, stimulation and motivation of the artists and better mutual collaboration - OSTEN organizes the event Artist of the Year.
 
The main purpose is to establish an event in which the Macedonian artists will be given an honor and respect for the successfully finished professional year. By that we would like to show that we follow the developments in the Macedonian scene of Visual Arts, such as the activities of the artists individually.
Our main goal is to affirm and stimulate the fine arts in Macedonia through creating creative and stimulus forms of collaboration between OSTEN and the Macedonian artists.
