Vangel NAUMOVSKI, Macedonia (1924-2006)
Vangel NAUMOVSKI is a world-renowned Macedonian painter.
He was born in the Ohrid village of Skrebatno in 1924.
He enrolled in the Secondary Art School in Skopje, but in 1947 he was excluded from it as "untalented".
Naumovski has had over 30 solo and 100 group exhibitions in all the centers of modern art such as Paris, Rome, London and New York... and his works can be found in many museums in Macedonia and around the world.
He died on June 13, 2006 in Ohrid.
