The exhibition “All About the Portrait” is part of an international artistic exploration of contemporary portraiture. After its presentation at the Romanian Cultural Institute in Venice, it now comes to Skopje before its final stop at the Museum of the Buzau Region, Romania.
This exhibition celebrates the portrait as a medium that transcends time and cultures. From Picasso’s cubist perspectives, through Abramović’s conceptual self-portraits, to contemporary experiments by artists such as Gligorov, Jankulovski, Casagranda and Plny – each work offers a unique perspective on human nature.
Each artist in this exhibition approaches portraiture not simply as a human depiction, but as a medium that tells stories, raises questions, and illuminates truths. Together, their works form a vibrant tapestry that captures the infinite complexity of human nature through portraiture.
