Antonov was born in 1942 in Bela Slatina, Bulgaria. He has finished the National Academy of Art in Sofia, speciality in graphic. He was actively involved in establishing of the International Print Biennial in Varna. As artist, he has participated on many international events in Europe, as Norway, Austria, Germany, Slovenia, as well as worldwide in Sao Paolo, Puerto Rico, etc. From 1997 to the present days, he is on the position Director of the Gallery for Graphic Art in Varna, which is the organizer of the International Print Biennial Varna.
He is a winner of the OSTEN AWARD on the OSTEN BIENNIAL OF DRAWING Skopje 2014.
