OSTEN BIENNIAL OF DRAWING SKOPJE 2010

For OSTEN - art on paper and the World Gallery of Drawing - Skopje 2010, it is a great pleasure to have among the great masters of drawingthe French artist of Serbian origin - Vladimir Velickovic. The great interest for drawing among artists incited us to introduce few new steps and deliver our development projections. In addition to the special recognition to emphasize the participation of artists of particular cultural environment, in addition to the acknowledgments to young artists, to artists in whose opuses the drawing takes up significant and artistically verified place, OSTEN - art on paper, within the World Gallery of Drawing grants awards in the form of artist residency in Macedonia. Significant step in our development is the forming of the International Institute of Art on Paper with headquarters in Ohrid, the focalpoint of the development of Slavic literacy. The following international fine art institutions joined hands with this initiative such as the Biennale of Graphic Art - Varna, Bulgaria, Wassily Kandinsky Foundation - Moscow, Russia, Triennial of Graphic Art - Bitola, Macedonia.

Our next step is forming a Museum of Drawing, inviting new challenges for the artists as well as for us as hosts.
